The 9 review sites that decide what AI recommends

Review sites are the least glamorous entry in any launch plan and the one with the longest half-life. A directory listing gives you a backlink; a review profile with a dozen real reviews gives you a page that ranks for "best X software" for years — and, since 2025, a page that language models quote when someone asks them the same question.

One structural change most lists have missed: G2 now owns Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice. Four listing processes collapsed into one vendor account. If you are still filling four separate forms, you are doing work that no longer exists.

Free profile, paid everything else

Every site here lets you claim or create a product profile for free. The paid tiers buy lead generation, intent data and widgets — G2's subscription starts around $2,999/yr — and none of them are a prerequisite for showing up. Claim the free profile first, then decide with a quarter of data whether the paid tier pays back.

The work that actually moves these pages is not the listing, it is the reviews. Ten honest reviews from real customers outrank a paid tier with two. Ask by email, right after a support win, with a direct link to your profile.

What the verification column means here

Several of these sites bot-wall automated requests, so our liveness pass can't confirm them the way it confirms a directory. That is what "not re-checked" means on this page — not that the site is down, but that we did not get a clean answer that day and refuse to print a ✓ we didn't earn. SaaSworthy is the one to be careful with: its submission pipeline has been reported unresponsive since around March 2026.
